Hello! My name is Bernice.

 

I’m the owner and will be the person coming into your home to take care of your furry family members. I’ve always believed that we should treat people and animals, the way we would want to be treated.

 

I immigrated from South Africa in 2001, became a USA citizen in 2010.

I’m married to my beautiful partner and have two wonderful teenage daughters. Our family unit wouldn’t be complete without our rescues, (dogs) Kaia and Charley,  (cats) Olive and Jasper, AKA "Ruler of the House". 

 

I’m competent, trustworthy, reliable, hardworking, punctual, kind, compassionate, thoughtful,

an animal lover and have great references, just so you don't think I'm tooting my own horn.

For as long as I can remember I’ve had a special connection to animals. I’m empathetic to animals feelings and sometimes feel like I connect with animals better than I do with people.

 

After 25 years as a business owner of a sports coaching company for young children, the pandemic hit and I lost my business. As devastating as it was, I decided to look at the situation and see it as an opportunity, rather than a disappointment or failure. Sometimes things do happen for a reason, even if we don’t feel like it in the moment.

 

One morning while I was sipping on my coffee, trying to figure out what my new direction in life would be, it hit me!.

I've always wanted to care for animals and why not now? I looked down at Kaia (my pup) and she was looking up at me with those big eyes and her tail "Wiggling", I took it as a sign!.

That is how “Wiggles Pet Care” was founded. I wanted to create a business that is professional,

personable and focused on supporting families around the communities where I live.

 

My other interests are Camping, Hiking, Kayaking, Coffee Shops, Watching Funny Fails, following Kite Flying, Food Festivals, Disneyland, walks in the rain and snuggling up on the couch to watch a good movie.
